I've read Volumes 1 - 5 of this series. I also have Volume 7, but I refuse to read it until I can get Volume 6, which is proving to be almost impossible.

But, since I have read a good part of the series I can give you a first-hand plot summary - go me!

The story of Demon Diary centers on events following the sudden demise of Demon Lord Raenef IV. Eclipse, a high-ranking demon, is given the task of locating and training the deceased demon lord's successor. As Eclipse discovers, tracking down the next Raenef is the easy part.

There are a lot of jokes centered around Raenef V's less-than-demonic appearance, and the confusion this causes with visitors to the palace who, without fail, make obeisance to Eclipse, mistaking him for the Demon Lord - much to the amusement of house-guests Chris and Eritus.
